Born in Humboldt county, Aurora spent the majority of her childhood moving to various locations around California. The theme of mice in much of her work attributes to childhood memories: "My mom used to call me 'Mouse' because I was quiet and I was always hiding places," she explains. Currently Armijo, 26, resides in Fresno, California, living as a visual artist with a strong focus on instillations and mixed media. In addition to her 2006 solo show “Three Blind Mice” at Trends Tattoo and Body Piercing in Fresno, her work has been shown in the following venues: Conley Art Gallery, Fresno (1999-2004); "Resurgence", Metropolitan Museum, Fresno (2004); "Arthop", The Pearl Building, Fresno (2004); "Fortune Cellars", Howie and Sons Pizza, Visalia (2006); "Brick By Brick" Montgomery Square Building, Visalia (2007).
