My focus lies in making things that do not seem inhabitable an entity you couldn't abandon if you wanted to. Communicative entanglements and direct environmental impact are often explored in my work. I utilize discarded material such as scrap wood and reclaimed canvases, and I give them new life in two dimensional pieces.
Having moved up and down the California state as a youth, I find
myself increasingly drawn to forms that are indicative of their
origin. My current projects are a series of 13 site-specific
instillations around Fresno and Tulare county, centering around
in-home social interaction and perceived necessities for human living.
